Monicans love to come together in our treasured public places. People
walk, jog, skate, and bike along City streets and pathways. Families picnic
and enjoy cultural events in our parks. Whether tasting organic produce
at the region's most popular Farmers' Markets, strolling the Third Street
Promenade, or bringing the whole family to enjoy a day at the historic
Santa Monica Pier, residents and visitors alike come together to enjoy
this mosaic of natural beauty and social interaction.
Santa Monica is really about its people and its places—and the coming together of people in places-in other words-celebration! And iam2m is all of this. From October 1999 through May 2000, watch for special iam2m celebrations—they are presented by a range of iam2m Partners to involve you, to challenge you, to relax you, to make you smile. They will enliven the public places—you treasure, invite you to think, and give pleasure to a friend (send an iam2m postcard!) or enjoy at home (frame an iam2m poster). Whatever you choose— events, programs, iam2m mementos-they are ways and means to travel into the new millennium.
