Latin eVentures announced today the beginning of its operations in Brazil. Officially formed in June this year and headquartered in California, the company’s mission is to explore business-to-business e-commerce in Latin America.

This very week, another company focused on business-to-business online transactions, TradeOut, also is launching in Brazil. TradeOut is also headquartered in the United States.

The objective of both companies is to integrate corporate supply chains, thereby reducing costs and making processes more efficient. The revenue comes from serving as intermediary between buyers and sellers.

Latin eVentures created eAquiB2B as a service that will offer real time access to the hardware and software product inventories of Ingram Micro. Ingram Micro is an IT products and services distributor that has partnered with Latin eVentures. Latin eVentures’ CEO, Cenmar Fuertes, is a former executive from Ingram Micro.

Marco Antônio Rossi will oversee Latin eVentures’ Brazilian operations. Marco also comes form the IT distribution arena. His prior experience included working at CHS and serving as founder of Via Brasil Distribuidora.
