Edwards & Company (NASDAQ:JDEC), a leading provider of agile e-business software solutions, today announced that Latin eVentures Ltd., a recently formed holding company for business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) ventures throughout Latin America, has selected J.D. Edwards OneWorld™ as the supply chain foundation of its B2B and B2C business portals.

Online sales are an emerging marketplace throughout Latin America. According to a study by IDC, online B2B sales in the region are estimated to reach more than $6 billion by 2003.

Latin eVentures recently launched its first B2B e-commerce solution in Brazil, eAQUI , which provides corporations with real-time online access to the largest inventory of computer hardware and software products available. The e-commerce site will use J.D. Edwards OneWorld as its enterprise foundation, and allow online access to more than 40 product lines and 10,000 stock keeping units (SKUs).
